Biography

Elissar holds a Diploma in Petrochemical Engineering from the Lebanese University, as such as a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on applied energy from the American University of Beirut. Her academic background has equipped her with a strong foundation in both petrochemical processes and applied energy systems. She is passionate about leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and solve complex engineering challenges.

Research Interests

Ellisar is passionate about leveraging her engineering background to address sustainability and environmental challenges, particularly focusing on air pollution. Her research interests lies in city-scale problems that directly impact populations. She employs a combination of physical models and data-driven approaches, with a special emphasis on deep learning for its accuracy and computational efficiency. A key aspect of her work involves developing methods for uncertainty quantification in both forward and inverse air pollution problems.
