Research Interests

Yixin's research interests lie at the intersection of physical oceanography and marine ecology, focusing on understanding the intricate interactions within marine ecosystems. Employing state-of-the-art modelling techniques, she utilizes a Lagrangian particle tracking model to investigate the connectivity of Red Sea coral reefs and a coupled physical-biological model to simulate the dynamic evolution of the Red Sea ecosystem across different spatiotemporal scales.
