We were pleased to host Dr. Ahmed Samman, Chair of the Meteorology Department and Director of the Center for Climate Change Research at King Abdulaziz University, together with members of his research group, students, and a wider academic delegation, during a recent visit to the KAUST campus.

Dr. Samman’s work spans severe weather, dust storms, and interdisciplinary climate research, with a strong focus on sustainability and renewable energy. The visit facilitated institutional exchange and provided KAU researchers and students with exposure to ongoing research activities and advanced scientific infrastructure at KAUST.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the CLIMATics group, followed by tours of the Visualization Core Lab and Marine Core Labs, highlighting KAUST’s capabilities in data visualization and marine and environmental sciences.

The CLIMATics team appreciated the visit and looks forward to future opportunities for collaboration with KAU.
