On April 23rd, CLIMATics hosted a visit from the Saudi Aramco Environmental Protection Department (EPD) team, reinforcing a close relationship that has continued since the creation of the Saudi Aramco-KAUST Marine Environment Observatory (SAKMEO) more than ten years ago.

The discussion covered updates on the center activities and progress, including recent developments, emerging trends, and key outcomes, while also reinforcing alignment on joint priorities and long-term environmental objectives in collaboration with Aramco.

During their visit, the delegation toured the KAUST Marine (CMR) and Visualization (VSL) core labs, which support the Center’s activities. The discussions also reinforced the strong KAUST–Aramco partnership and its continued momentum going forward.
