As part of its continued commitment to outreach and scientific engagement, CLIMATics welcomed participants from the Lujjah Plant Sciences Enrichment Program during their visit to KAUST on 25 June 2026. The program brought together senior biology students and recent graduates to explore leading research facilities and gain insight into emerging scientific career pathways.
During their visit to the Climate Change Center, participants learned how CLIMATics is advancing environmental intelligence for the Arabian Peninsula through high-resolution climate modeling, artificial intelligence, and operational forecasting systems. The focused session highlighted the Center's contributions to climate resilience, environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and national priorities, while providing an overview of research and training opportunities in climate science.
The visit represents another step in CLIMATics' ongoing engagement with students and the wider community, fostering scientific curiosity and supporting the development of the next generation of environmental scientists. The Lujjah Plant Sciences Enrichment Program is a community-led initiative that bridges academic learning with professional development through specialized scientific training and experiential learning opportunities.
