Panagiotis' interests lie in the field of Physical Oceanography and Ocean Modeling. He has implemented regional ocean model configurations on High Performance Computer Systems working with different ocean models (NEMO, MITgcm). He is currently working on modeling the circulation of the Arabian Gulf, using a regional configuration of the MIT general circulation model. His work aims at investigating the dynamics and thermodynamics of the Arabian Gulf and the variability of the water mass exchanges with the Indian Ocean.
