Aramco Research Program

This project develops an integrated climate risk assessment and digital twin platform for Saudi Aramco to enhance operational resilience and environmental decision-making. It combines high-resolution regional climate projections with advanced atmospheric and ocean modeling to quantify risks to Aramco’s facilities, alongside the development of a real-time digital twin system for forecasting weather, dust, air quality, and flood hazards. The platform integrates modeling, observational data, and interactive dashboards to deliver actionable insights at both regional and facility scales. Structured in two phases over ten years, the project emphasizes operational deployment, scalability, and continuous improvement, with additional pathways to incorporate emerging AI technologies. Ultimately, it aims to provide a comprehensive, data-driven system that supports risk mitigation, strategic planning, and sustainable operations across Aramco’s assets.
